The wooden keels are branded "THG" for Thomas H. Gelston. The only other pair known are in a Long Island museum. Hen is in unusual alert head position. Strong original paint with a nice mellow surface; there may be some very old over paint to the white areas of the drake; hen has a reglued crack in the bill with a tiny amount of filler added to the very end of the crack.
