Description
Current Lot Exceedingly rare rigmate pair of pintails, John R. Wells, Toronto, Ontario, last quarter 19th century. Wells' earlier style. Hollow carved with raised neck seats. Both are branded "GEO. M. HENDRIE" for St. Clair Flats Shooting Company member George Henrdie, club member from 1889 - 1943. This is the only rigmate pair of pintails by Wells from the Canada Original paint with minor shrinkage and wear; extra nails were added at a later date to the bottom board of the drake; a few small dents.
