A closer examination revealed that the hub's inner bore had actually changed shape slightly, and it would no longer hold the bearings in proper alinement. The problem is that the hub and hub axle were not designed to withstand the extreme side pressure of a highly tensioned drive belt. The outer bearing is too close to the inner bearing, and there is no bearing out past the pulley load where it needs to be. I've designed a completely new redrive hub and axle assembly for the FB simonini that places the outer bearing way outside of the belt/pulley load..WATCH THE VIDEO!!
