The x200xp Provides exeptional contrast and clarity in a palm size device.  Designed for use in the field the x200xp is water proof, can withstand a fall from 6 feet, and even floats. Advanced digital signal processing and a 30 micron detector provide Resolution that is amazing for a pocket size device and very impressive even when compared to much larger thermal imagers with 320X240 focal plane arrays.  While the users manual states the maximum detection range for human activity at 500 yards, i have been able to detect a lone man walking across a grass field at over 1000 yards and a pickup truck driving and parked at over 4000 yards using my x200xp.  That is far beyond the range of even the best Gen III+ image intensifers.
