If, like me, you are 200lbs (or a bit more), 6'1", and want the sweetest riding bike known to man, keep reading. This bike was built from scratch with no kit so the best parts mix could be had. It climbs like a hard tail and is butter smooth on those long fast fireroads. The wheels ($1000 by themselves) are fast and reliable for us larger individuals and make that SWEET Chris King sound that is unmatched! The Rock Shox pop-loc allows you to lock-in the Pike fork so it does not pogo on climbs and the DHX shock does the same on it's own (pro-pedal adjustments). The DHX is fully adjustable for climbing and absorbing the bumps and the Pike 454 is just incredible at every task. The suspension is fully adjustable from marshmallow soft to Indy car firm and comes with 2 rear springs for the DHX, a 175-200lbs stocker and a 220lb FOX custom. I've installed 180mm Race Face ATLAS AM cranks as they are much better to climb with. They really do allow much more climbing ability with longer legs than standard 175's. The XO/XTR components are superior to all for ease of shifts, read any competent article on the subject, they will tell you. The Avid CODE brakes were chosen for their incredible stopping and fade-free reliability and because they were available with 203mm rotors. They will not let you down at any speed!!! It has never been hucked over jumps and is scratch and dent free, like new. This bike is a very recent addition to my garage and no longer can be ridden as it should as I've not enough time. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the bike and is being sold because it is too beautiful to have hanging around. No kidding, if you are a big guy like me and can afford it, there is no better bike on the planet. Every part was selected not because of strength for abuse, but just because it can take a few extra pounds with no reliability issues at all.
